KARACHI: Three suspected robbers were shot at and wounded in an ‘encounter’ in the Al-Falah area.

Police said the encounter took place between the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and the robbers at main road in Al-Falah near Green City where, after an exchange of firing, three suspects, identified as Banaras Khan, Ismail and Mashooq Ali, were arrested in wounded condition.

Two pistols and one motorbike were recovered from their custody.

AVCC SSP Zeeshan Siddiqi said the injured suspects were ‘habitual criminals’ who were also arrested in the past.
