LAHORE: A special court on Saturday confirmed the interim pre-arrest bail of former provincial minister Ali Afzal Sahi, son-in-law of Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, in a case of alleged corruption in development funds.

Sahi appeared before the court on expiry of his pre-arrest bail.

Judge Ali Raza confirmed the bail of Sahi and directed him to furnish two surety bonds of Rs50,000 each.

The Anti Corruption Establishment registered a case against the former minister and others on charges of misuse of authority and misappropriation of funds allocated for the development projects in the province.
