SWABI: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested a man, who had killed his father, stepmother and wife on Thursday, from Islamabad International Airport, the police said here on Friday.

Officials told Dawn the accused, Shah Room, who worked abroad, had killed his father, Ravaid Khan, 45, and stepmother, Firasat Bibi, 35, at the Pehur High Level Canal Mor, and had escaped along with his wife on a motorcycle.

Later, the officials said the accused later killed his wife in Nowshera district and threw her body in fields. The police recovered the woman’s body.

The police officials said that before committing the triple murder, the accused had booked air ticket for Dubai.

Orders trial court to get her checked for ‘mental illness’

Jehan Zeb, an uncle of the accused, had got registered an FIR with the Topi city police station, stating that Shah Room often quarreled with his parents and threatened to kill them.

District police officer Najamul Hussain said the police traced the man through his cell phone in Islamabad, and promptly informed FIA, which arrested him from the flight destined for Dubai.

Meanwhile, a mad dog bit six children in Malikabad area of Gadoon Amazai.

Local people said the children were playing cricket when they were bitten by the dog.

STRIKE CONTINUES: Doctors and paramedics continued boycott of duties for third day on Friday in Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals, Chota Lahor and Topi, against non-payment of the May salary.

Only emergencies of the hospitals are functioning during the strike, forcing patients to seek treatment at private hospitals.

The striking doctors and paramedics declared if they didn’t get salary till Saturday (today) they would also shut down the emergency units. President of paramedical association, Swabi chapter, Fazal Hakeem demanded of the government to pay their salaries without delay.
