CHARSADDA: The body of a minor girl, who had gone missing, was recovered from a deserted place in the Sardaryab area here on Thursday.

The police had registered a case after Kamran, father of the girl, lodged a report that his one-and-a-half-year old daughter, Aleena, has gone missing.

The incident had also gone viral on the social media networks.

According to sources, the body was stuffed in a sack and was dumped in a deserted plot in the area.

The police said the girl was strangulated. She also had violence marks on the body, they added. The police are further investigating.
