PESHAWAR: Police in the southern Tank district have registered a case on a citizen’s complaint against journalists Shaheen Sehbai and Wajahat Saeed Khan, YouTubers Adil Raja and Syed Haider Raza Mehdi for “abetting mutiny and waging war against Pakistan.”

The FIR was registered at Tank’s City police station on Jun 12 on the complaint of Ibrar Ahmad, a resident of the district, who alleged that the said four suspects were involved in instigating general public through their social media accounts for acts of terrorism on May 9.

Separately, on Thursday, a case was registered at Islamabad’s Kohsar police station against journalist Sami Abraham and owner of Bol TV Channel Shoaib Shaikh on charges of sedition, conspiracy, waging war, and terrorism for their alleged involvement in the violence that erupted in the country, including capital on May 9.
