QUETTA: The University of Gwadar will launch new academic programmes and regularise contractual employees who have fulfilled recruitment criteria and completed probation periods.

This was decided in the university’s 3rd Syndicate meeting held in Quetta on Friday. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir.

The syndicate members also approved the minutes of the first and second syndicate meetings.

The meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee for the budget estimates, and the university’s annual report for 2023 were also discussed and approved.

It also decided to establish new teaching dep­a­rtments and a CPEC study centre.
