LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has criticised the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police for raiding and allegedly ransacking furniture and other valuables in houses of PTI members and sealing their businesses on flimsy grounds.

In a series of tweets on Friday, the PTI chief posted some pictures of broken furniture, ostensibly taken inside the home of a PTI member and stated: “Punjab Police has unleashed a reign of terror against PTI members”.

He termed it an attempt to scare decent people and law-abiding citizens with armed police barging in and vandalising their homes.

In yet another tweet, Mr Khan also alleged that hundreds of private businesses and properties of PTI supporters and workers across the country were being systematically threatened and destroyed as a coercion tool.

He also criticised KP police’s raids at senior PTI leaders’ houses and alleged that police barged in the houses of former governor Shah Farman and his brothers and allegedly took away three cars.

Similarly, he said, two cars were ‘stolen’ from residences of party leaders Asad Qaiser and Shahram Tarakai.
