TOBA TEK SINGH: A man allegedly succumbed on Sunday to the injuries inflicted by his wife and son-in-law who subjected him to severe torture after catching him red-handed when he again attempted rape of his minor daughter, whom he had been sexually assaulting in the past.

According to Gojra Sadar police, a police party reached Chak 367-JB, Jallianwala, after receiving information that a man had been subjected to torture by his wife and son-in-law allegedly after they caught him attempting to rape his 15-year-old daughter.

Police said when they took 55-year-old Abid Ali in custody, he was already critically wounded as a result of the torture by his wife Zahida Perveen and son-in-law Imran, a resident of Toba Tek Singh.

They said the suspect was being shifted to Gojra Tehsil Headquarters Hospital when he succumbed to his injuries. Police have arrested the wife and son-in-law of the deceased.

As per sources, Zahida told police quoting her minor daughter that the suspect had been raping her in the past.

SUICIDE: A young man allegedly committed suicide on Sunday after failing to get a job at Chak 254 GB, Soondh, Rajana.

Ashiq, father of the deceased, Idrees, told police that his son had been employed in Muscat, but lost his job two years ago and returned to Pakistan.

He said Idrees tried his best to find a job here but failed and got depressed.

On Sunday, Idrees locked himself in a room of the house and shot himself. He died on the spot.

BOY RAPED: A man allegedly raped a minor boy in the mosque of Chak 439 GB, Mahalamon, Samundri, on Sunday.

According to FIR registered by Samundri Sadar police under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the complainant, Lumberdar Saeed Amjad stated that his nine-year-old grandson was playing in the street, from where the suspect lured him to the village mosque and raped the boy.

He added that on hearing cries of the boy, some of the locals rushed to the mosque, but the suspect managed to escape.

Doctors at the Samundri THQ hospital have confirmed the child’s rape. Police are conducting raids to arrest the suspect.

WOMAN RAPED: Faisalabad’s Jhang Bazar police have registered a robbery-cum-rape case against a suspect and his three accomplices on Sunday.

Complainant ‘A’, resident of Nusrat Colony, Jhang Road, stated in the FIR registered under sections 392 and 376 of the PPC that the suspect ‘IR’, who lives in the same street where she lives with her cousin, forced his entry into her house, along with his three accomplices, one of them in police uniform.

She said the four intruders locked her cousin, Husnain, in a room. She said the prime suspect ‘IR’ raped her at gunpoint, while his three accomplices stood guard outside the room.

The FIR added that the suspects also took away mobile phones of the complainant and her cousin.
