LAHORE: The police claim to have recovered a woman from Katcha area of Ghotki, Sindh, where she was allegedly sold by her husband for ‘money’.

The police also arrested woman’s husband Saim Masih and an accomplice Pathan Khan.

According to the police, Saim, a resident of Green Town, had taken his wife Mehak to Ghotki where he sold her for money.

He later declared that she was kidnapped by some unknown men. The police said Mehak’s father lodged her kidnap case.

During investigation, the police found out a different story, interrogated her husband and then dispatched a team to Ghotki district where he had sold her to some locals.

The police team recovered her and brought her back to Lahore and sent both suspects behind bars.
