KOHAT: The Regional Election Commission office, Kohat, on Thursday asked the voters to collect various forms for making corrections and changes in the electoral rolls to finalise the error-free data by July 31.
An election commission official, Nauman Khan said transgender individuals, differently-abled persons, or those having any medical condition could also approach the commission offices in Kohat, Hangu and Orakzai districts with the computerised identity cards to collect the forms for making new entries, vote transfers and registration of fresh votes.
POLIO VACCINATION: With only one day left before a five-day polio vaccination campaign ends in Kohat, Hangu and Orakzai, health officials are hopeful to achieve the maximum target of vaccinating 387,000 children.
The campaign was launched after poliovirus was found in Hangu.
Deputy district health officer, Kohat, Tariq Aziz said they had set a target of 230,000 children for vaccination against polio.
District health officers of Hangu Dr Nawab Ali and Dr Adnan of Orakzai said 112,000 and 45,000 would be vaccinated in the two districts, respectively.
Meanwhile, a six-day campaign to give injections against deadly measles also kicked off on Thursday, health officials said.
Officials at the district health offices in Kohat and Hangu have also appealed to parents, civil society, ulema, and elders to extend cooperation so no child was missed.
