ISLAMABAD: Robbers shot and injured a policeman on Friday.

According to police, the injured was identified as Constable Faisal of anti-riot unit.

The incident took place when he and his cousin Kaif were going to bazaar in H-13 when two persons on a motorcycle intercepted them at Capital Homes. The gunmen tried to snatch mobile phones from the constable and his cousin but he resisted.

The robbers then opened fire on him and escaped. The injured received two bullet injuries and was shifted to a hospital.
