LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 27 human smugglers so far for trafficking those who lost their lives in the boat tragedy off the coast of Greece.

The FIA also took DNA samples of 178 families whose loved ones were aboard the ill-fated ship.

According to the agency, 70 FIRs have so far been registered against the suspected human smugglers in Lahore, Islamabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Faisalabad.
