SWABI: Seven people, including two teenage brothers and a couple, were killed in different incident in the district on Saturday, police said.

They said that two brothers identified as Abdullah, 15 and Muneeb Khan, 14, hailing from Mohallah Syed Khano Chota Lahor, had gone to Hund village for swimming in the Indus River to beat the heat. However, during bathing they moved to deep water and drowned.

Their friends made vigorous efforts but failed to save them.

In Zaida village, a couple identified as Nazirul Islam and his wife Seema Naz were allegedly killed by Islam’s brother Faizul Rehman on Saturday.

Muskan, the teenager daughter of the couple, told police that his uncle Faizul Rehman having a repeater and pistol entered their house in wee hour and opened firing on her parents. As a result, her parents were killed on the spot.

Also, two people were killed near Shahmansoor Township.

Police said Hazrat Bilal of Panjpir along with his mother was on way home on a motorbike.

As they reached near Gajju Khan tomb, Dad Khan killed Bilal and tried to escape. However, the mother of the deceased grabbed his son’s pistol and shot him dead.

In Maneri village, two families targeted each other after a brawl and as a result Saifullah was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In addition, over 50 people were injured in different road accidents during the last two day in the district.
