BoP TCF partnership

The Bank of Punjab (BoP) held a cheque handover ceremony in Karachi as part of its BoP Sadqah Jariyah initiative, as per a press release. The event saw the presence of the President and CEO of BoP Zafar Masud, the President and CEO of The Citizen’s Foundation (TCF) Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad and senior management representatives from both organisations.

BoP’s Sadqah Jariyah initiative offers donation collection services to support TCF and its impactful education programs.

BoP facilitates the collection of donations through various physical and digital channels, including the Roshan Digital Account platform. The donations are dedicated to initiatives focused on promoting education for girls, individuals with disabilities, and adult female literacy.

BoP goes beyond fund collection by matching customer and staff donations and further contributes funds to support TCF in promoting literacy.

The collaboration between BoP and TCF highlights BoP’s commitment to social betterment and its belief that education is a fundamental right. This partnership aims to create a lasting impact in the field of education, reflecting BoP’s motto of “Har Fard Ka Khayal.”

During the ceremony, Mr Masud emphasised that BOP Sadqah Jariyah enables customers to donate Zakat and Sadaqat to various causes through BoP channels, supporting education, female literacy programmes with TCF, breast cancer treatment at Pink Ribbon, and healthcare for underprivileged patients at The Indus Hospital. BoP covers all donation fees and charges and matches all donations received per month.

Sarsabz Fertilisers wins digital awards

Sarsabz Fertilisers emerged triumphant at the highly acclaimed Pakistan Digital Awards 2023, as per a press release. The company has secured three prestigious awards, the highest number for any company this year.

The company’s iconic campaign, ‘Salam Kissan’, which has consistently been recognised and celebrated since 2020, continues to captivate audiences and industry experts alike.

The campaign has already secured four awards to date (Best Digital Campaign 2020, Best Digital Campaign on Tiktok 2021, and Best Digital Campaign on Snack Video 2022), showcasing its enduring impact and effectiveness.

The award for “Best Social Media Influencer Communication” for Salam Kissan acknowledges the campaign’s ability to leverage social media platforms and effectively engage with the target audience, while the recognition of “Best Web Series of the Year” for Sarsabz Kahani highlights the company’s commitment to storytelling and digital content creation.

The web series, with its engaging narrative and informative content, has not only entertained but also educated viewers about the agricultural industry and the vital role played by Sarsabz Fertilizers.

Additionally, the accolade for the “Best Innovative Mobile App” for Sarsabz Asaan reflects the company’s dedication to technological advancements and user-friendly solutions. It’s an innovative mobile app that provides comprehensive solutions to our customers. Since its launch Sarsabz has achieved a remarkable milestone of accumulating Rs100 billion-plus in sales through this app.

Inclusivity at Faysal Bank

Faysal Bank in collaboration with ConnectHear, launched the Persons with Disabilities Model Branch in Johar Town, Lahore, states a press release. The objective was to revolutionise the banking experience for individuals with hearing impairments.

Faysal Bank has partnered with ConnectHear to support its inclusivity drive in sync with its values of Khidmat and Jiddat. The branch will offer assistance to the hearing-impaired community and ConnectHear will also provide training and sensitivity workshops to assist the bank staff in a better understanding of the Virtual Sign Language Interpretation application.

Chief Guest Dr Amjad Saqib, Founder, Akhuwat Foundation, graced the occasion and reiterated that these DEI initiatives are tiny steps towards bigger achievements and that inclusion is the right of every individual.
