KOHAT: Visitors to the famous Juzara resort in Hangu district have resented the delay in construction of a hotel, a resting area, a snacks shop and a swimming pool, which had been planned five years ago.

They said a secluded place should be built for women and families.

The tourists from Orakzai, Kohat, Doaba, Karak, Thall and other areas visit the famous icy springs in summer enjoying the cool weather.

Visitor Inayat Orakzai said people thronged the resort to escape inhuman electricity loadshedding in hot and humid weather.

Mr Mughal, a local elder, regretted that all the projects planned at the resort had yet to be executed.

Former MPA Attique Rehman said these projects were planned five years ago, but could not see the light of the day because of the bureaucratic red-tape.

Visitor Adeel complained about the incomplete swimming pool at the summer resort.

BODY FOUND: The police recovered mutilated body of a man from a house in Malangabad area of Junglekhel here on Tuesday and arrested his brother and sister-in-law for the murder.

A statement said other relatives of the victim, identified as Tahir, had complained to the police that he had been missing for several days.

It said a team headed by SP investigation Zahid Khan reached the accused, Nazeer and his wife Gulnar, with the help of modern technology.

During interrogation, Nazeer told the police he along with his wife strangulated Tahir because he had got fed up with his brother over infighting.

PROTEST: The central business action committee staged a demonstration in front of the Kohat Press Club on Wednesday against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.

The traders’ leaders also announced to boycott all the goods of Sweden, stressing Muslim countries should also do that to put economic pressure on the country.

They also demanded an unconditional apology from the Swedish government over the hateful act.

Speaking to the protesters, the committee’s secretary general Mansoor Paracha said Muslims were ready to give any sacrifice to protect their holy book.
