Spice up your vacation

This is regarding the cover article “Spice up your vacation” by Ali Aaliyan Rizvi (YW, June 10). The article provides essential tips to children on how to make the most of their summer vacation through practical learning. It emphasises the benefits of engaging in fun activities that can enhance their vacation experience.

Instead of wasting their time at home, using mobile phones excessively, or aimlessly watching the TV, children should be encouraged to explore engaging and educational activities. These activities include planting trees, starting a small business, and utilising social media as a platform for learning and networking.

The cover article “Spice up your vacation” by Ali Aaliyan Rizvi was really an enjoyable read. It contained suggestions to enjoy our summer vacation by having fun and creative activities, and learning new skills to make the vacation more enjoyable. The idea to make a sherbet stand in a park was really cool. We should do that often as everyone needs a healthy fresh drink; especially in at noon because it is really hot these days.

High in the sky

This is regarding the cover article, “High in the sky” by Rizwana Naqvi (YW, June 3). The article explored the world of kites, their origins and the fascinating process of creating them. Kite flying is an inexpensive form of entertainment that brings endless joy to kids.

However, it’s important to be mindful of the potential risks involved in it. Despite the joy they bring, kites can pose dangers to pedestrians and cyclists due to their sharp strings. It’s important for both young and old to be careful and be aware of the consequent dangers related to it.

The prayers of my grandmother

This is regarding the story “The prayers of my grandmother” by Noor Bakhsh Saleem (YW, June 10). The story beautifully illustrates the profound impact that a grandmother’s prayers can have on one’s journey to success.

Grandparents always have a deep desire to see their grandchildren thrive in every aspect of life, and their prayers play a significant role in making that happen. Similarly, the story highlights the very essence and results of prayers of a grandmother on her granddaughter’s life. I appreciate the writer and also suggest that more articles and stories focussing on our blood relations and their importance in our lives should be published.
