HYDERABAD, Jan 30: The District Government Hyderabad has decided to handover the possession of Niaz Stadium to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) with objectives to restore its status as international cricket centre.

It was stated by the District Naib Nazim Hyderabad, Zaffar Rajput, who presided over a meeting to discuss modalities of handing over neglected Niaz Stadium to PCB.

He said PCB and that District Government Hyderabad is already working over a comprehensive plan to promote sports activities in the district and make the sportsmen able to compete the national and international level events.

He asked the PCB to submit their requirements and terms of references about the status of Niaz Stadium in future so that the same could be fulfilled before handing over it to them.

He assured that the District Government Hyderabad will extend its support to the PCB in development of Niaz Stadium or conducting international matches for the entertainments of the citizens of Hyderabad.—APP
