KARACHI: The Sindh government has introduced a new route of the electric bus service connecting Malir Cantonment to Numaish via Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who also holds the portfolio of transport and mass transit, said the decision aimed at providing convenient travel facilities to the general public.

The new route starts from Malir Cantt Gate No 5 and culminates at Numaish traffic intersection, covering a distance of 18 kilometres and passing through Gulistan-i-Jauhar and Millennium Mall.

The minister stated that the new electric bus route officially commenced its services on Monday.

He emphasised that the government of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the province was well aware of the transport challenges faced by the people and was committed to offering affordable and comfortable travel options to the public.
