LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Monday extended the judicial remand of PTI-Punjab president Dr Yasmin Rashid, former MNA Alia Hamza, fashion designer Khadija Shah and others in connection with the May 9 related cases.

Police produced the suspects before the court after bringing them from jail.

Judge Abher Gul Khan extended the judicial remand of Dr Rashid in a case of violence on Sher Pao Bridge for four days.

The judge ordered the investigating officer to ensure the submission of challan in the case by the next hearing.

In the corps commander house attack case, the judge extended the judicial remand of Ms Hamza, Ms Shah, Sanam Javed and others till Aug 12.

The judge directed the inves-tigating officer of the case to submit challan on the next hearing.

Judge Khan sent six suspects, including the husband of PTI worker Sanam Javed on four-day physical remand with Sarwar Road police in the corps commander’s house attack case.

The investigating officer told the court that the suspects had been found guilty in the identification parade, and their custody was required for investigation.

The judge allowed the request and granted the four-day remand of the suspects.

Sarwar Road police had registered a case of the attack on Jinnah House, which also serves as the residence of Lahore’s corps commander, after the property was vandalised during the May 9 riots involving PTI leaders and workers.
