KASUR: A woman was buried alive while four members of the family suffered injuries as the roof of the room they were sleeping in collapsed on Monday at Khokhar Ashraf village in the limits of Chunian police station.

According to Rescue 1122, the roof of a room owned by Muhammad Rafique caved in on Monday. As a result, his wife Sajida Bibi (35) died under the debris while other family members Saeed Akhtar (13), Sadaf Bibi (24), Farzana Bibi (45), and Muhammad Rafique (65) suffered injuries.

Rescue 1122 and locals recovered the body of Sajida Bibi and the injured from the rubble. The injured were rushed to THQ hospital for medical treatment.

Police, later, handed over the body of Sajida to the family after legal formalities.
