KASUR: Two men, one from each rival group, were shot dead over a trifle on Thursday at village Sattoki in Mustafabad police precincts.

According to complainant Muhammad Ibrahim, his sons Kashif and Sadaqat were on their way to fields on a motorcycle when muddy water splashed onto the clothes of Ahsan Masood, son of ex-UC councillor Nasir Javid Bhatti. This led to an exchange of harsh words.

The complainant said later six suspects, including Masood, Bhatti and Mahmood, shot dead Kashif and injured Sadaqat.

The complainant claimed that the suspects shot dead their own security guard Muhammad Arslan to balance the murder of Kashif.

Police registered a case, arrested former councillor Bhatti and started investigations.
