KARACHI: Kabul has refuted what it terms allegations levelled by Pakistan, saying that the Afghan Taliban do not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against another country.

In a couple of tweets on Thursday, Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said: “If there is any concern, it should be shared with the officials of the Islamic Emirate face to face, rather than making unnecessary claims in the media and confusing people’s minds.”

The rejoinder comes a day after Pakistan alleged that the Zhob cantonment attackers came from Afghanistan.

Mujahid said that such claims were “not in the interest of both countries and people”. This echoes similar statements made by the Afghan government in the past, whenever the government or military has accused Kabul of harbouring and abetting terrorists who shed the blood of Pakistanis.
