QUETTA: A senior officer of Levies force and four others were injured in a bomb attack in the Mazai Adha area of Qila Abdullah, a district bordering Afghanistan, on Thursday evening.

Officials said unidentified terrorists attached the explosive device to the roof of a Levies vehicle which went off when Risaldar Major Mohammad Nasim was travelling in it along with other people. All the five people suffered injuries while the vehicle was damaged.

Levies and FC personnel reached the site of the incident and shifted the injured to the district hospital Qila Abdullah. Later, the injured were moved to the Trauma Centre at Civil Hospital, Quetta.

Levies officials said the bomb was kept in a bag, adding that investigation into the incident was under way.
