ISLAMABAD: The Employees Union Dawn Islamabad elected its office-bearers for 2023-25.

According to the results announced by the election committee, comprising Nasir Iqbal and Tanveer Shehzad; Iftikhar A. Khan secured 26 votes to become president and Asad Malik bagged 30 votes for the post of general secretary.

Rest of the office-bearers including vice president Mohammad Ilyas Bhatti, finance secretary Munawar Azim, joint secretary Mohammad Ashfaq and information secretary Kashif Abbasi were elected unopposed.

Farooq Ahmed, Mohammad Wasif Sabir, Saleem Ahmed Shahid, Tariq Maqbool Naqash and Zaki Abbas were elected unopposed members of the managing committee.
