20 slices of cheese in a burger, anyone?

An unusual Burger King menu item offered in Thailand is going viral online after the fast food chain confirmed the “real cheeseburger” features 20 slices of American cheese — and no meat.

The “real cheeseburger” was launched at Burger King locations across Thailand, and the fast food chain took to social media to explain: “This is no joke. This is for real.”

The unusual menu item went viral online, and at least one Burger King location in Bangkok had to suspend delivery orders for the sandwich to ensure there was enough stock for in-store customers.

Man plays drums for over 150 hours straight

A Northern Ireland musician, Allister Brown broke the record for longest drumming marathon by an individual after playing for more than 150 hours.

Brown, who has held the record twice in the past, was attempting to beat the current record of 134 hours and 5 minutes, which was set by Canadian Steve Gaul in 2015.

The attempt raised money for NIPANC, a Northern Ireland charity dedicated to pancreatic cancer awareness, and Mind, a mental health charity. The attempt must now be reviewed by Guinness World Records to become official.

‘Earthquake omen’ fish washes up on beach

Beachgoers at Cancas Beach in Punta Sal, Peru, panicked after an enormous deep-sea oarfish, measuring 13 feet in length, washed up on the sand. It was still alive when beachgoers tried to help and drag it back to the sea, but despite the best efforts of locals, it died on the shore.

It was the second oarfish fishermen have encountered on the beach, the first one washed up on the beach during Cyclone Yaku in March this year. Due to their size and shape, oarfish resemble “sea serpents” and are considered harbingers of earthquakes and misfortune, in Japanese mythology. The myth was rekindled in 2011 after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

Shortly before the disaster, at least a dozen of the rarely-seen fish washed ashore in Japan in late 2009 and 2010. The Ecuadoran Geophysical Institute said the myth has no validity in any scientific study carried out as of August 2022.

Li, an accomplished speedcuber, also holds the records for most rotating puzzle cubes solved while suspended upside down, most rotating puzzle cubes solved using one hand while suspended upside down and fastest time to solve a rotating puzzle cube by a team of two underwater.
