LONDON: PTI supporters pursued Judge Humayun Dilawar for a second day on Tuesday as he undertook a judicial training course with other judges at the University of Hull.
Dozens of PTI supporters gathered at the campus to protest against the judge, calling him out for unfairly sentencing PTI Chairman Imran Khan to a three-year jail term in the Toshakhana case.
In one clip, a woman supporter was seen trying to approach the car in which the judge was about to sit and confronting a university security official so she could heckle the judge. In another clip, a woman is seen chasing after the vehicle which was carrying Judge Dilawar. She screamed “how could you do this to our country” as she chased the car on foot.
Separately, one PTI supporter was stationed outside the accommodation where the judge is staying for the duration of the training course, saying that he was waiting to see the judge and confront him.
PTI member Jahanzeb Khan said he along with other supporters spoke to the dean of the law department to register their protest, but the dean said he was not in a position to cancel the judge’s participation in the ongoing workshop.
