KARACHI: An alleged robber was shot dead by his wounded victim in the Jamshed Quarters locality on Wednesday night, said police.

They added that Iqbal Hadi, 48, was shot when he put up resistance to some robbers in Achaar Wali Street of Jamshed Quarters. The injured victim also fired at the robbers killing one of them. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem examination.

The dead suspect could not be identified till late in the evening.

Iqbal Hadi was taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital for treatment.

Two ‘bandits’ held

Two suspected bandits, including one who fled from the police custody in the City Court a couple of days ago, were arrested on Wednesday after an encounter, police said.

They added that the Keamari police raided a hideout in Mai Kolachi and arrested suspect Rizwan Arshad and his aide Arman Hakeem, alias Munna.
