KARACHI: The outgoing Sindh government has transferred some senior bureaucrats and gave some of them new assignments days before an interim set-up takes charge of the provincial administration.

According to a notification dated Aug 11, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Fayyaz Jatoi was transferred and posted as the social protection secretary.

Board and Universities Secretary Mureed Rahimon was also transferred from his post. He was asked to report to the services and general administration department.

On the other hand, Services Secretary Khalid Hyder Shah has been transferred and posted as the new board and universities secretary.

The Sindh government also transferred directors general of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) and Malir Development Authority.

According to the notification, MDA director general Yasin Shar has been replaced with Najabuddin Sehto, while KDA chief Muhammad Ali Shah with Nasir Abbass Soomro.
