TAXILA: A woman committed suicide by shooting herself with a pistol at Hamza Town of Attock on Monday.

Police said the woman was in distress due to her strained relations with her family. On Monday, after a brief exchange of hot words, the woman closed herself in her room and shot herself dead. Meanwhile, there is no respite from street crime in various parts of Wah.

Three armed men sneaked into a factory of Rizwan Ahmed near Brahma in the small industrial estate in the limits of Wah Saddar police and took hostage all the staff. They snatched cash over Rs0.14 million, five mobile phones and laptops and fled.

In the same police station limits, two persons riding a motorcycle intercepted Saqib Mehmood in Scheme II and robbed him of cash and a cell phone.

Separately, two armed men snatched cash, a mobile phone and other valuables from Usman Zia in Sector 22 in the limits of Wah Cantonment police.

Three armed persons, including a woman, snatched cash, a mobile phone and a motorcycle from Ahsan Iqbal in the limits of Taxila police.

In a broad daylight house robbery, three masked men entered the house of Zohaib Khan in Wessa village in the limits of Hazro police station and and looted 30 tola gold and Rs1.5 million cash.
