KHAIRPUR: Two bodies found

KHAIRPUR, Feb 2: Two bodies have been found in different areas of Khairpur district. One of the bodies was found lying on a donkey cart on the National Highway near the Bhurgari regulator here on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Shar, a resident of Akri in the Faiz Ganj taluka. It is believed that he was tortured and killed.

The brother of the deceased, Abdul Sattar Shar, received the body after post-mortem from the Khairpur civil hospital.

Later, 250 people of the Shar community held a procession on the Kumb-Khairpur-Nawabshah road, suspending traffic for two hours.

The Akri town remained closed to mourn the death.

The other body was found near the Jilani Dargah late on Wednesday evening in the precinct of Tando Masti Khan police station.

Police took the body to the Khairpur civil hospital for post-mortem on Thursday. The body remained unclaimed till filing of the report.
