RAWALPINDI: A woman was allegedly raped by an employee of the government-run Benazir Bhutto Hospital on the premises of the hospital, police said.

According to an FIR lodged by the victim with Waris Khan police, she was a mother of two children and resided in Bakra Mandi.

The woman said she had been residing with her parents since her divorce three years ago while her children lived with their father.

The woman claimed that for the last three years, she had been in a relation with the suspect who had promised to marry her. She said the suspect had called her to Benazir Bhutto Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

When she reached the hospital, he took her to an adjacent room of the x-ray department where a computer operator was already sitting.

She further alleged in the FIR that the suspect then took her to rear end of the computer room where he sexually assaulted her, made her video and then started blackmailing her.

The police took the suspect into custody and launched an investigation.
