KHUZDAR: A man allegedly gunned down his 20-year-old daughter and two others in the name of honour in Mastung district, on Tuesday.

According to a Levies official, Rukhsana left her house on Monday night with the intent to run away with her friend Satak Khan. But as soon as her father, Muhammad Usman, got wind about her intentions, he and his two sons chased them. In Dasht area, Rukhsana’s father allegedly opened fire at her, killing her on the spot, according to Levies. He also killed Satak Khan and Gohram, his friend.

Levies personnel rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident and shifted the three bodies to hospital at Mastung for autopsy.

“It’s a case of honour killing,” Samiullah, the SHO of Levies police station at Kirdgab, said.

Muhammad Usman and his two sons escaped from the scene.

Levies carried out raids at different places on Tuesday to catch the suspects.
