BAHAWALPUR, Feb 2: The Punjab government will establish a child care and protection centre in Bahawalpur.
This was stated by District Nazim Tariq Cheema while talking to Punjab chief minister’s adviser for children’s rights and MPA Dr Mrs Faiza Asghar here on Thursday.
The district nazim said the centre would be meant for orphans, deserving and the poor, who have lost their parents. These children would be kept in a government building till the construction of new facility for this purpose.
The child beggars, he said, would also be brought to this centre where special attention would be given to their character-building.
MOOT: A three-day eye specialists’ conference will be held at Quaid-i-Azam Medical College from Friday (today).
Organizer Prof Dr Ijaz Latif said that about 200 delegates and specialists would participate in the conference. —Correspondent
