School is back in full swing, and guess what? There’s a bunch of cool new school stuff, including brand-new stationery! But hey, if you’re tired of your plain old pencil, here’s a fun idea: give your pencil a super awesome makeover by creating your very own fantastic pencil topper! So today we’re diving into something deliciously creative — a toffee pencil topper! Get ready to add a touch of sweetness to your pencils!
Things you need:
Foam sheets in two colours
Coloured paper (of your choice)
Scissors
Markers (optional)
White glue
Hot glue
Directions:
Cut coloured paper according to the size of your pencil and wrap it around the pencil, then paste it using white glue, as shown in pictures 2 and 3.
Grab the foam sheets and cut them lengthwise into half-centimetre strips, picture 4.
Place one strip on top of the other and gently apply hot glue to one end. Roll up first strip from that end, then apply a bit of hot glue on top of it and roll the other strip tightly around the first one, picture 5.
Keep rolling both strips while applying hot glue at intervals until you reach the end (use hot glue gun under the supervision of an elder), as shown in pictures 6 and 7, then leave it for a while.
Take a one-inch-long strip of foam sheet and roll it around the bottom of the pencil, with a width of one centimetre, as seen in picture 8.
Grab two pieces of foam sheet, each measuring two inches in length and one inch in width. Create an accordion shape by folding back and forth, using hot glue to secure the folds, as shown in pictures 9 and 10.
Now paste the coil on top of the bottom part of the pencil by using hot glue; then glue the accordion bows onto both sides of the earlier crafted coil (i.e. toffee), pictures 11 and 12.
The toffee pencil topper is now complete! Creating a cap for the pencil is a breeze — simply roll a one-inch strip of foam around the pencil, and there you have the exact size of the pencil cap, picture 13.
