ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Thursday said the role of youth is pivotal in the progress and prosperity of the country.

Addressing the participants of the annual Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Internship Programme, Gen Munir said, “The youth are the future of Pakistan and can significantly contribute to the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country.”

The ISPR Internship Programme was being attended by over 370 students from various universities across Pakistan.

The COAS also highlighted the efforts of inimical forces in creating and fomenting fissures, intolerance, mistrust and violent behaviour among the people to spread anarchy and unrest in the country.

“It is imperative for the youth to discern thedifference between truth, half-truths, lies, misinformation, and disinformation,” remarked the COAS.
