IT is very unfortunate and unforgiveable that wanton violence is claiming so many precious lives in our country. At this point, I cannot help but quote one of the founding fathers of the United States, Benjamin Franklin, who said: “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

How befitting to the land of the pure, it is.
