LAHORE: The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Tuesday announced the results of the grade nine examinations, with a pass percentage of 49.60.

A total of 295,121 candidates participated in the annual exams, of them 153,966 were girls and 141,155 boys. Of them, 94,888 were private candidates, while 200,233 were regular candidates.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Girl students outperformed their male counterparts, achieving a pass percentage of 64.93, surpassing the 59.89 per cent pass rate of boys.

Muzaffargarh District secured the top position with a pass percentage of 64.54 compared to other districts in the division.

Overall 56.96pc of candidates passed as of 107,777 students took the exams, of which 61,400 passed.

Muzaffargarh District stood first with 65.54pc success rate, followed by Kot Addu at 61.68pc, Layyah at 53.86pc, and Taunsa at 53.80pc.

Dera Ghazi Khan district secured the fifth position with a 51.76pc success rate, and Rajanpur district stood sixth with 49.98pc.

SARGODHA: A total of 110,592 candidates took part in the examination, with 57,225 candidates passing, resulting in a success rate of 51.74pc.

Up to 50,767 candidates from Sargodha district participated, of which 27,463 passed. Similarly, 17,688 candidates from Khushab district appeared, and 8,926 succeeded.

From Mianwali district, 21,193 candidates took the exam, with 10,206 students on pass list.

Bhakkar district had 20,944 candidates, and of them 10,630 passed.

TOBA TEK SINGH: Of 197,506 students who appeared for the exam, 102,934 students passed, culminating in a pass ratio of 52.12pc.

BAHAWALPUR: Of 112,948 candidates 56,496 candidates passed in a pass percentage of 50.02.

SAHIWAL: The Sahiwal board reported that 45.18pc of candidates passed the 9th class examination. Of 91,216 candidates who took the exam, 41,235 students passed.
