LAKKI MARWAT: A man and his son were killed over a domestic dispute in Jabukhel area here on Thursday.

Police said that Samargul, 62, and his son Habibur Rehman, 18, were shot dead by their relatives outside their house.

“Sanamgul, another son of deceased Samargul was wounded in the firing attack,” they maintained.

They said the double murder took place after the victims and attackers argued over a family dispute. Complainant Sahibgul told Ghaznikhel police in his preliminary report that their relatives including Arifullah and his brother Sajjad had come to their house to take his wife (killers’ sister) with them.

“During arguments they got furious and opened fire on us, killing my father Samargul and brother Habibur Rehman on the spot,” he said, adding that his other brother Sanamgul was injured in the attack.

He told police that the attackers escaped after the incident while the deceased and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital located at Tajazai.

Police said they had registered a case against the killers under relevant sections of law and began investigation.
