KARACHI: The Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) has highlighted the plight of the flood-affected people and said they lacked proper access to healthcare and education.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Karachi Press Club, PHF country coordinator Syed Shahid Kazmi underscored PHF’s role as a forum, acting as a bridge for INGOs in their interactions with the government, United Nations agencies, humanitarian stakeholders, civil society organisations, and the media.
The main focus of the event was to address the challenges of the recent floods, which left an enduring impact across various regions of Pakistan.
It was mentioned how PHF worked during the 2022 flood, especially for female health and safety. The organisation tried its best to fulfill their personal necessities across the flood-affected areas.
