SWABI: Two women and a child were seriously injured when roof of a dilapidated house collapsed here on Saturday, locals said.

They said the incident occurred in Jhanda village, where mostly are mud houses.

Shamim Khan, a neighbour of Rahimullah, the house owner, said his wife, a daughter and a child were trapped inside the house when its roof collapsed. He said local people immediately started rescue efforts and recovered all the trapped people from the debris alive.

He said the injured child, identified as Sanan Khan, 6, was the grandson of Rahimullah.

Shamim said locals shifted the injured to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex. Shahmansoor.
