LAHORE: A head of the anti-narcotics unit of Lahore police and his team were allegedly found involved in drug trafficking.

Reportedly, the Anti-Narcotics Force nabbed four police employees while the DSP escaped during a raid carried out for his arrest.

There were reports that DSP Mazhar Iqbal was heading the police unit formed to curb drug smuggling and trafficking.

A police official said the ANF recovered from the house of the police officer a huge quantity of drugs including the ice and cash amount.

He said other police employees arrested by the ANF team included a sub-inspector, ASI and the constables.

The teams were conducting raids for the arrest of the fleeing DSP, the police official said.
