KARACHI: The provincial caretaker government is going to make a major reshuffle in the Sindh police in a couple of days, announced interim home minister on Saturday.

He said that current DIGs, SSPs and SHOs would be transferred and replaced with new ones soon.

Speaking at a press conference, he said that lists of efficient and honest police officials for the posts of SHOs were being made and a major reshuffle of other officers would be carried out in a couple of days. “There will be a change in the city after the reshuffle,” he added.

He said that he had held talks with the Jamaat-i-Islami and traders’ community regarding their strike call. He said there were some untoward incidents reported in the city and warned that action would be taken against those who had committed any wrongdoing under the guise of peaceful protest.
