LAHORE: The Punjab government on Sunday notified transfer and posting of 26 assistant commissioners revising the earlier order of transfer/ posting of 31 ACs serving in tehsils across the province.
As the Punjab government had notified the transfer/posting of 31 ACs, the Election Commission of Pakistan had objected and conveyed that the work on delimitation of constituencies had started and now no official could be transferred and posted.
The government had eventually cancelled Saturday’s transfer/postings order.
