KARACHI: Hascol Petroleum Ltd recorded a consolidated loss of Rs7.1 billion in January-March versus a loss of Rs2.3bn a year ago.
The oil marketing company told investors on Tuesday its revenue for the first three months of calendar year rose to Rs32.5bn, up 2.5 times from the preceding year. But an exchange loss of Rs5.9bn dented the bottom line. The company didn’t announce any dividend.
Meanwhile, Cherat Cement Company Ltd told shareholders its net profit for 2022-23 clocked in at Rs4.4bn, almost unchanged from a year ago.The company also announced a cash dividend of Rs3 per share, which is in addition to an interim cash dividend of Rs1.50 apiece.
