KARACHI: Amreli Steels Ltd posted a loss of Rs678 million in 2022-23 against earnings of Rs1.3 billion a year ago, the company said on Friday.

In the April-June quarter, its loss amounted to Rs969m versus a loss of Rs509m in the same three-month period a year ago.

Meanwhile, net profit of Ismail Industries Ltd amounted to Rs5.9bn in 2022-23, up 156.7 per cent from a year ago. Its sales clocked in at Rs100.6bn after increasing 53pc on an annual basis.

The company also announced a cash dividend of Rs2 per share, which is in addition to a Rs10 per share pay-out announced during the fiscal year.
