RAWALPINDI: There is no let-up in dengue cases in the garrison city as 25more patients arrived in three government-run hospitals on Saturday, taking the season tally to 366.

After arrival of new patients, at present 63 confirmed dengue patients are under treatment in Rawalpindi hospitals and nine of them were in critical condition.

Total 22 confirmed dengue patients are in Holy Family Hospital, 18 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 12 are in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, three in Al-Khidmat Razi hospital and eight patients are in four different private hospitals.

Mostly dengue patients arrived from Satellite Town, Shamsabad, Raja Bazaar, Afzal Town, Bakra Mandi, Dhoke Munshee, Chaklala, Kotha Kalan, Girja, chountra, Chahan, Khurram Colony, Dhoke Dalal and Thatha Khalil.

The officials said that the health department teams were continuing indoor and outdoor operations on a daily basis. On Friday, more than 12,000 houses checked in Rawalpindi and dengue larvae were found in 378 houses. Similarly, more than 4,130 outdoor spots were checked in hotspots and dengue larvae were found in 62 spots.
