MARDAN: Two people were killed allegedly over an old enmity near Thoot village on Mardan-Swabi road, police said here on Saturday.

The officials of Shehbazgari police station quoted Mohammad Adnan as saying that he along with his brother Waqas and a relative Hasnain was coming home from after attending court hearing in a case.

He told police that they stopped for taking tea at a roadside hotel near Thoot village. He said that he was washing hands when their rivals came there in a car and opened indiscriminate firing on his brother and relative, killing them on the spot.

The motive behind the incident was stated to be an old enmity. Police registered FIR against the alleged killers identified as Zishan, Fawad and Bilal.

Police claimed to have arrested all the three persons nominated in the FIR.
