RAWALPINDI: Four persons were killed and one was injured during a clash between two groups over an old enmity in Bagga Sheikhan area in Rawat, police said on Monday.

A resident of Rawat Mubashir Saddique has lodged an FIR (First Information Report) alleging that his brother Rizwan and two other acquaintances Mohammad Sajjad and Mudassar Hussain had been shot dead by the members of their rival group led by Nouman.

According to the FIR, Nouman along with his guards and some other accomplices had initially reached Rizwan’s house to have a patch-up over an old murder case. He further said that his brother Rizwan alias Raju and a cousin Mohammad Saqib and their friend Jamal Manzoor had been released on bail last month in a murder

case.

He claimed that attackers were armed with Kalashnikovs and pistols and opened fire on the victim on the rooftop of their house. As a result, Rizwan and Saqib received bullet injuries. In the FIR, the complainant claimed that Saqib, who was injured in the attack, snatched a repeater gun from a guard and fired at Nouman who was also injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
