TOBA TEK SINGH: Three suspects fled the D-Type Colony police station in Faisalabad late on Sunday.

According to the police, Aqib Javed Jat and Muhammad Ihsan Butt were robbery suspects, and the third was arrested in a rape case. They were held in the police lock-up when the rape suspect claimed he was unwell. When Naib Muharrar Nadeem and Constable Imran were escorting him out of the lock-up, the three overpowered both officials and escaped.

A case of negligence was registered against both officials, leading to their arrest.

City Police Officer Usman Akram Gondal suspended the station house officer and directed the Iqbal Town SP to investigate the case and report to him as soon as possible.

KIDNAP: Four unidentified people allegedly kidnapped a woman from Chak 433-JB in Gojra’s police jurisdiction.

Complainant Muhammad Ilyas informed the police that he and his daughter, Tooba, were on their way to the farmland when suspects arrived in a car, held him hostage at gunpoint, and forcibly took his daughter with them in their car.

The police are conducting raids to rescue the woman.

FIRE: Valuables worth more than Rs1 million were destroyed after a fire broke out in a restaurant on Post Office Road in Gojra on Monday.

Owner Faizan said the fire was caused by a gas leak from an LPG cylinder.

Rescue 1122 firefighters contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to adjacent shops.

RALLY: Scores of government employees from various departments staged a rally in Faisalabad to protest against a reduction in leave encashment and pension benefits.

The procession started from the Irrigation Department Complex and concluded at District Council Chowk.

Apca leaders Imtiaz Tatla and Mian Muhammad Saeed announced if their demands were not met, all government servants would take to the streets on Sept 25.

ARRESTED: A proclaimed offender wanted by Pirmahal police in a 10-year-old murder case was arrested on Monday in Sialkot.

The police said that Muhammad Afzal Saroya of Chak 685/26-GB had strangled his wife, Asiya Bibi, to death. The police learned that the suspect had been living in Sialkot under a false identity. A police team stayed there for several days and finally tracked and arrested him.

DROWNS: A minor girl drowned on Monday in the Gogera branch canal near Chak 5-GB, located on Nankana Sahib Road, Faisalabad.

Rescue 1122 said Sonia, 3, daughter of Yousaf, was playing on the canal bank outside her house when she slipped into the water and drowned. Rescue divers retrieved the body.

MURDER: In a dispute between the children of two families, a man was murdered and two others were injured in Chak Sadhar, Faisalabad, on Jhang Road.

According to Thikriwala police, Amer and his associates opened fire on another group, resulting in Arif, Saeed, and Adnan being shot. They were being shifted to the Allied Hospital when Arif succumbed to his injuries.

Also, in Chak 92-RB, Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad, Mudassar and his associates fired at their opponents over a property dispute, injuring Ali, Mohsin and Shahbaz. Ali died on the way to the Chak Jhumra THQ Hospital.
