Golimar gas crisis

Published September 14, 2023

IT is seriously disheartening that despite numerous promises made and assurances given by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the residents of Old Golimar continue to suffer owing to the rather erratic supply of natural gas. It is actually bad enough to be called non-supply.

The inefficiency of SSGC is made worse by the apathetic attitude of its officials. This is simply unacceptable.

It is the duty of the SSGC to ensure uninterrupted and timely supply to all citizens irrespective of their geogra-phical location.

The continuous neglect of this matter raises serious concerns about the commitment of the company towards its responsibilities.

The SSGC should address the issue of the non-supply of natural gas in Old Golimar area, and take proactive measures to ensure that such a situation does not recur in the future. Timely and consistent supply of essential utilities is not a luxury; it is a fundamental right of every citizen.

We, the citizens, deserve a better deal, and it is high time the SSGC stepped forward to fulfil its official responsi-bilities, and ensured regular supply of natural gas without any further delay.
